Default Missouri River ?

Hey ,
I have fished out West quite a few places but never have hit the Missouri.
Anybody have the lowdown on fishing , guides, and places to stay?
Thanks in advance.

The Missouri is one of my favorites. I stay in Craig, Montana but it is small and has limited accommodations and places to eat. I think it is the Head Hunters fly shop which has two cabins for rent. Very nice but a little more expensive then the others. Issac's which is a bar/restaurant has excellent food. A check with the fly shops or a check on the web will give good information on this matter. There are three fly shops - Cross Currents, The Trout Shop and Head Hunters. I think The Trout Shop and Head Hunters do most of the guiding.

Default the MO

I have been there twice and the best place is Headhunters. Mark one of the owners is a great guide and can give you a wealth of info of what the hot flies are.To give you a idea of the place it the shop that all the local guides hange out at every evening. It is well worh the time to stop at Craig Montanna and visit the Headhunters shop. Good luck and let us know how you did. Here is a nice brown from the mighty Mo.

Very few blogs that I read everyday, but Headhunters is one of them. I would hook up them in a heartbeat. If you are a veteran, they have a drift boat on site for use at anytime at no charge, pretty cool way to run a shop.

Thanks fellas.
Just got back from my annual walk/wade trip in central ID and it was great, but, lookin to spend some money on some drifts next year.
I've fished the majority of blue ribbon waters in MT but never the Missouri.
Looking for big fish rising and I'd heard that the Missouri's the place!
Believe I'll holler at trouthunters.

Thanks,
