Default First Smallmouth

Caught my first Smallmouth bass in SW VA this last week.

Gorgeous fish and congrats on the first. Just a note, but bass are really sensitive to infection when grabbed with a bare hand, removing their slime makes them more susceptible because of the warmer water they inhabit. It's best to lip them or remove the hook without touching them if you want to release them.
