Thanks grumpy

I was able to hit the river this morning. My first time wading there. Managed several rainbows and three browns. Big one a solid 17 inches. Need to go back. Is tva pretty reliable in sticking with the schedut they put on the website?

They stick by it pretty good, if you hear a horn, keep alert.

Be aware that when you look at the TVA water release schedule you are only seeing forecasts for water releases through the generators. There is no prediction for water releases through the spillway gates. They generally constantly run 250cfs through a small orfice gate on the Caney which is a Corps dam. Seldom are water releases through the spillway gates a problem, but it does happen. For example, if you look at J Percy Priest dam, also a Corps dam, for this day, you will see zero generation for today. Look at actual flows and you will see they started letting around 1000cfs through at noon. Check for observed flows before you go and pay atttention to notices at the top of the page for any sluicing info.
