Default Blue Ridge Bows

Spent the weekend introducing a good fishing buddy to one of my favorite trout streams for the first time and I do have to say, it was a memorable one... We took a leisurely drive down to the Blue Ridge Mountains in search of some wild bows and burly browns on a beautiful little stream in North GA. The weather was just about perfect but unfortunately 70 degree temps mixed with low water due to lack of rain and lots of sunshine, made for some difficult fishing conditions. Even though, we still managed to enjoy some spectacular foliage and of course some spectacular whiskey... but what whiskey isn't spectacular when consumed around a campfire after a good day of fishing?? All in all, I think we both had a great weekend spending some quality time in the outdoors and more importantly, on the water... although I may have enjoyed it a little bit more since I caught all of our fish but he swears to me that he had just as much fun watching...

Beautiful fall foliage in the Blue Ridge...

The trophy of the trip...

Feed me your flies... !!

Buzz, you had me worried there for a minute...
Didn't mean to mislead anyone, it was more for the storytelling effect and wasn't really anything too special... just some EW 1783 small batch. Not my choice but I wasn't buying and it's actually pretty good. This trip was all about doing it on the 'cheap' and we were thinking quantity over quality...
