Default Holston 12/26

Rough first time on the Holston. Went to dam and tried to follow trail downstream ended up in a briar patch....finally made it back to water...no fish today.

Where are the best places to wade on Holston?

I tried the holston Wednesday and didn't have any luck either. My brother in law wasn't feeling it so we didn't stay for very long. I'm guessing you parked at the launch and hiked downstream from there? I usually park at the bridge just below the dam and go in that way, if the release schedule doesn't present any opportunities further downstream. For me, the area from the bridge on down to the first shoals are hit or miss, mostly miss. Anyways dude, my offer still stands and my email hasn't changed.

At least you were able to get out. Temperature was in the low 20's here yesterday. Hopefully you enjoyed the scenery and the time on the water.
