Headed Back to the islands in a little less than 2 months. Excited to see what I can get into this time. I passed on a trip with a guy in a small boat last time (rough seas & small boat). He was bringing in a fresh catch to the resort. I won't make that same mistake twice.

If anyone has fished down there I would love some feedback. I did some night fishing off the dock and hooked into a couple that self-released right at the dock.
It has been too long since I've fly fished. My young boys keep me busy when I take them.

I have an 8wt TFO that I will be bringing along and any flies you might recommend I tie.

Flyfishjeep,
The best way to avoid sea sickness is to be the driver. See if they will let you drive the boat most of the way. If not; stand with the driver and navigate for him. The part that gets you sick is looking down inside the boat and not using your eyes with your body. Focus on not looking in to the boat more than a second or two...Works every time!

I don't have trouble with sea sickness. I just didn't want to ride in his little boat after seeing the size of the waves past the breakers...
He would fear for his life if I was at the helm!
