I got up to elkmont Saturday morning about 10 am. Seeing that the parking lot was already full, Iwas having my doubts. I walked up the trail to just past the cabins and started fishing my way up stream. I saw tons of people walking the trail and a few them had to come down to the stream to see if I was catching any and spooking the trout. needless to say i did not have much luck. I headed for Tremont at 2 where i caught one rainbow and spotted 3 otters which was a mixed blessing for me. Sure it was great seeing some wildlife, but not while I am fishing lol.

I was right off the road close to Metcalf for the first part of the afternoon and then moved up to some brook water that is very accessible by road. Numbers were great, size was a different story. Very cool that you saw some otters!
