Wink 6-7 metcalf bottoms

Saturday, I headed up to the river, with no plan on fishing any place in particular. I stopped below the bottoms and hiked downstream awhile as to avoid any people. I tied on a Deer hair black ant, the rainbows started eating it up almost immediately. I landed 3 and missed a couple dozen. Working my way up stream, I ended up at the bottom of deep pool that had a large Rock overhanging it. After about 10 minutes, a group of people came out on the boulder looked at me fishing and proceeded to jump off the rock and into the water. After "complimenting"them on their ignorance, I bidded them farewell with a loud F.U. Now thinking back I should have warned them about the 2 copperheads that I seen near there. Needless to say that ruined my mood for the rest of the day.

Hate to say it but in summer that is a major swimmin hole at times, it would be like fishing a the Y (wye) in July, save that one for fall/winter/spring
