I just found your nice site. I have never been to your part of the country but plan on being down there in beginning of May for a week or so. Starting to look at maps, guidebooks, etc and it looks a little overwhelming. I'll make sure to check in with you guys when I get there. I hope you don't mind New Englanders traipsing through the woods down there.

Treecatcher, I'm glad you found our site and message board. You are going to be here at a great time. If you want more information on the area check out smokymountains.org. That site is our Visitors Bureau in Townsend. This is a small town with a few motels and several rental cabins. We will be glad to help you when you arrive or before. Thanks for posting. Byron
