I will be at the GSMNP in mid April. I have a National Geographic map of the park. I am having problem finding some of the streams that are listed. Is there some place where I can get the reference location from the map or grids coordinates for the stream names ?
Thanks Merle |

You really need a Delorme Gazetter or a map specifically for the park such as a trail map or outdoor activities map. There's several Smoky Mountain Maps available from national sources. The book stores in and around the east TN and Western NC area will have a good map. If you are in Knoxville TN try the map store at 900 Dutch Valley Rd.

Try the following link for additional information regarding maps of the park. *The trail map specifically includes both trails and stream names:

I got just what I needed Friday, it was a map of the park with the streams listed and gave the location on their map. It Was easy enough to cross reference to a topographical. map. The map came from R & R Fly Fishing.
