Default New To Fishing In The Park

Hello-

I am a new fisherman to the Smoky M. Park and wanted to ask the best location for a beginner to fish. I am using a spin reel and hope to move into Fly fishing but wanted to start slow. Looking to catch a few and advance further. Any information well help. Thank You.

EBS, Welcome to the board. We all started with spinning rods. Or at least I did. In the park you can only use a single hook lure like a Rooster Tail or a Mepps. No treble hooks. I would guess that a spinning outfit would be better on the larger stream like the East Prong of the Little River. Also, TWRA stocks the Little River through Townsend. Spinners work well here through town.

Hope this helps,

Byron
