Default Smokey Mountain Nymph

I was in LRO last weekend and I saw a nymph that I wanted to tie. I FORGOT TO BUY ONE TO LOOK AT IT! It kinda looked like a Prince nymph...LRO is the only place Ive ever seen it. Can anyone help me?

I fished with a guide out of North Fork Anglers in Cody, Wyo who swears by a prince nynph with some red dubbing worked in with the peacock. He claimed it worked betterthan a plain Prince. The fly worked great out there. Might be be something those of us who nymph might want to test.?

Have you heard of any more colors, other than red, worked in w/ the peacock?

Randy:

I assume you could tie a bead head version of this as well, just reducing the amount of lead wire?

Randy:

Thanks for the additional information for the bead head. I'll give it a try.
