when midges start toward the surface to hatch(this is when the trout really key in on them)they have some funky colors with i think most have a blood streak in them.this fly has the red toned down some by the streach tubing.i`ve tied them with red wire but they seem to like this new thing.also use white thread with shrimp colored tubing overwrap is good to.i`m still expirimenting with other colors but reddish seems to be working now.

I don't have time to tie flies(wish I did), but I am interested in maybe buying a couple of those.
Do they have them at Riverside or did you come up with this yourself? Sounds like it's working well, and I like to cut to the chase and fish stuff that's working. |

they`ve got something like it,or you could get brandon to tie some.i`ve shown him what i`ve been tying(and buy my materials there)so he will know.an olive pheasant tail size #14 to #18 has also been working.most anything olive and small.sometimes shallow, sometimes 3 ft deep.i also tie something like a wd40 with small white wings that works good when winged ants are around.usually black.
