Default Cataloochee Info

Just found this board. Headed up to GSMNP and will be fishing Cataloochee one day and then headed over to the Tennessee. Plan to stop by the store when on the Tenn side.

Have a question about Cataloochee. Plan to hit the main creek and then later the upper tribs. Probably Palmer. I can omagine Palmer is pretty shallow in spots, but what is Cataloochee Creek like to wade? Should I wear waders or wet wade?

Good morning Gator. Cataloochee Creek is pretty easy to get around in and it is going to be pretty low right now. Stealth will be of the essence when you're on the water and it should be just fine to wet wade. I believe that I'd go down to 6X.

Thanks Hugh. I saw some posts on one of the boards I frequent in Atlanta about using 6x or even 7x. Will be prepared. Will let everyone know how I make out.
