Default reels
anyone know anything about waterworks purist reels?They are very light--ready to buy a reel--for 3wt or 4wt rod--have used orvis in the past--want American made

sorry lauxier but I only own Orvis Battenkill Barstock (Made in England version) so I would not be much help. I have only owned one Made in the USA fly reel in 35 years of fly fishing.

Waterworks makes excellent reels. I have a friend that has been using them for years and loves them. I've fished his and will defintely be buying some in the future!

How about a Bauer Superlite? I think they would stand up to a little more abuse.
