The Klinkhammer is basically a parachute pattern tied on a curved hook. Ex. scud, egg hooks. They can be very effective at times. Try a search on Google.

Checkout Flyanglersonline.com, go to fly tying then pattern archives. A power point presentation is listed for 4th qtr. 2005. I've used a variation of it fishing mt. lakes near Yellowstone. Works well as an emerger also.

The style was created by Hans van Klinken a well known fly fisherman from the Netherlands.

Russ!
No, I'm not kin to him, I just happen to have a German name which is very common in Holland as well, and it is not extremely common in Scandinavia but pops up now and then in the population. It is a short version of Johannes or John in english. Well enough of this. |
