Default Citico

I'm going flyfishing this weekend around Citico and North River and was wondering if anybody has fished
the area in the last couple of weeks to tell me what flies are working?

I have been to N.R. 3 times for about 2 hour visits. The water is lower
than I have seen it since I started flyfishing at age 9. The water temp
was in the mid-60's, but I still think catching one is a real strain on the
fish. I might suggest what I've started doing in these conditions. It is
still fun for me, but it is easy on the fish. Cut the point and barb completely
off! The bend in the hook still grabs when they take. You will manage a
short fight and can usually manage to get a look to estimate the size. It's
a good way to justify catching all those fish that "got away" too!
Good luck. Don't even think about fishing in any direction but upstream.
Practice up on your reach and curve casts too.

I fished north for 5 hours yesterday above the footlog and had some success. i think it was the weather rather than the low water because i hammered them about a week ago. As far as citico goes its been fishing well all summer except for a couple of weeks in august. The water level is low but i disagree about the stress issue because every fish i've landed has shot out of my hand the second i set it in the water. I have a few other post concerning recent trips to the area. #14-16 parachute style dry flys, wolfs w/ an ant dropper or soft hackle is a good bet.
