Thanks to everyone who offered advice on the Nantahala.
I ended up coming home early because the rain over the past couple of days made the river high and muddy. When I got there Monday, the water on the DH section was in good shape. It was drizzling steadily and the cream midges were coming off. The trout were rising and taking drys and emergers. I had a very good day. * The ones I landed were mostly brookies. One measured 15". The rest were browns and 'bows. The good flies were: green weenies, modified BH princes, cream midges and small pheasant tail nymphs. The big brookie took a green weenie. Thanks again, sworp |
