Default GSMNP 10/7-10/8

My son Braden and I are heading up this weekend to try some of that great Fall fishing we've been hearing about in the park. We're camping at Elkmont. Don't have an assigned site yet, but we have a reservation along the upper part of the river. If we're at home stop by and have a cup of coffee. The fire will always be warm, and the conversation light. Here's a picture of our truck.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

justfishing,
I am going to be camping in Elkmont also this weekend. I will look for you in the campground. I work in Sevierville and will be head up after work on Friday. I have been trying to teach my 13 year old son to flyfish this summer. He is getting better at casting and needs some stream time. Don't we all! Red Jeep Cherokee with A-Braves plate on front.

Troutman,

I know what you mean, exactly. My biggest issue is keeping him from giving up if he hasn't caught a fish in the last 10 minutes. That's what I like about the park. Lots of chances, and lots of places to "try next". We're leaving B'ham around noon, so we should be up in time to hit LRO, the Village market, set up camp, and fish a little before dark.

round these parts a Braves plate is fine. *just as long as there aint no crimson elephants or orange and blue tigers .

Just messing with yuns. *i hope you have a good trip. *Hike up the Little River Trail right outside of the campground about 3 miles then start fishing.

Russ,

Never been up that way. We'll definitely try it.
Thanks.
