Elk River fishing

Had a pretty good time on the Elk river last weekend. Fished just below the dam and caught my first brown trout. Not a whole lot of size, but he gave me a little trouble after I set the hook. The red spots were very bright.
Funny thing happened after that...my fly line had gotten wrapped around me after I released him and as I let my BHN dead drift while I was getting my line straightened out I noticed the a slight tug. I had hooked a rainbow while I was trying to untangle myself. Kind of made me just laugh out loud for a second.

Any way...it wasn't a bad day. I had gotten there a little late in the morning and the fish seemed to settle once the day started heating up.
I think I may try the Caney this weekend...the wife and 3 other girlfriends are planning an outing and I have to find something else to do.
