Default winston question

here's a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. does winston still make the wt model with a downlocking reelseat? I saw a wt with a downlocking seat and I was wondering how old it was. I know the model was called im6 prior to being renamed the wt, so this rod can't be that old, but what year did this occur. anyone with some knowledge on this?

Default Re: winston question

Winston doesn't make any of their rods with a downlock reel seat. I hate that because I prefer downlock with a cigar grip. I've been selling Winston's for around 12 years but I can't remember when they changed to name to WT. It seems like it was around 4 or 5 years ago but I also can't remember what I had for lunch today. Check out their new website, there may be a timeline on it.
