Default cherokee nc

does anyone have suggestions for fishing on the reservation at cherokee nc?

Stockers but alot of fun. You will have to purchase your fishing permit through the tribal offices.

if you're going to be in cherokee, drive ten miles and fish deep creek. that is one of my favorite streams in the park. its very easily accessable with a wide trail that follows the length of the stream. you can fish in close, around picnic tables and restrooms (if you have family with you), or you can walk a few miles down the trail to get some solitude.

thanks so much for the tip, i wish i would have seen it before i headed out. fishing on the reservation was disappointing. five small stockers after fishing all day saturday between two of us. did better the next day on the nanthala, and posted a report. i see now that these posts should have gone under the "other states" board, sorry.......
