My wife and I are heading to Townsend Monday the 27th for a day of fishing, hiking and whatever. Would a good hike up Abrams Crk be a good idea? Any thoughts on flies etc. would be appreciated. We're from the Brevard area and are looking for a change. Thanks in advance.

I think upper Abrams Creek near the trailhead to the falls would be best for fishing because the water is warmer due to the springs. You might see some fish in the fork to your right at the bridge. That is Abrams Creek before the confluence of Mill Creek. I'ts tough fishing though. Nymphs are working best now. Tellico or Prince would be fine. Fishing was better today according to reports here at the shop. Should improve by Monday because of the warm weather we are getting. Byron

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll stop by the shop on my way in.
