Default Woven Bodied Green Weenies

I was playing around today with trying out woven bodied flies. I decided to try a woven bodied green weenie. I think they turned out pretty well. The posibilities are endless.

Very nice! Just remember what Hans said... "Those things are not legal in the park"

If you ever travel alittle further south, and fish some creeks those black and chartruese ones will do a good job imitating Catawba worms!

Griff, you're a genius. The first one looks just like a Catalpa worm. That one will a black bead head would be even better.

I like your idea of adding a black bead head.

Griff,

Those "weenies" look great. Brian Courtney was in here yesterday and talked about woven weenies. I bet he got the idea from you in the class. Good job!

If you take two colors of superfine and twist them before acending to the eye it comes out pretty cool two and I'm sure a little easier! Looks great Griff! I tried a couple different variations and they looked superb...I'd stick to neutral colors ie; black and green or brown and green. I tried mixing barbie ping and the flouro green together looked sweet!

Keep posting um~Fishermansfly~

I adapted it from the instructions on tying a tussle bug that I found on the web.

Never tried a woven weenie. I do tie a couple different woven stones. I love the look of 'em.
