Default Monday fishing report

Went over to the Holsten river yesterday to redeem myself of getting skunked on Sunday on lower Abrams creek. The generation schedule was good with one gen. coming on at 11am. No one was fishing when we arrived and had the place to ourselves. I haven't fished it since late September and I usually go for the Smallmouths but the trout have been holding over fairly well. I only ended up with 2 *10-12" rainbows in about 4 hours and missed one very good hit with a streamer. It seems the fishing is very slow everywhere including the tailwaters. I have had a great year of fishing though and logged some great memories of this past years trips. *My son (13) caught his first flyrod trout (brookie) this year and spent a great week in Yellowstone and caught my first Cutthroat on the Lamar river. I made some new freinds this year on this board and I am very thankfull to LRO for providing us great freindship and service to all of us flyfishers. Merry Christmas everyone!
