Default Happy Mardi Gras

I realize that this topic is, at best, only tangentially related to fly fishing, but today was Mardi Gras, and even though the date of the last day of Carnival varies with the date of Easter every year, it always seems that, whenever it falls, Spring follows close behind...so, happy Mardi Gras, and here is to an early Spring.

"Carnival is a butterfly of winter whose last real flight of Mardi Gras forever ends his glory. Another season is the season of another butterfly, and the tattered, scattered, fragments of rainbow wings are in turn the record of his day."
