Default A question about the river guage...

Byron, or anyone really - could you explain what the readings on the Stream Info ( river level) mean? I can see teh chart shows 2.5 ft., 3 ft, 1.5ft or whatever, but how does that translate into safe ( or productive)wading levels? Is 3ft+ up to the banks or over them even? Is 1.25ft super-low? Sorry for being intelligence challenged!
Thanks.

fishlicker,
This is from the stream condition page:

"Gauge Readings below 1.4 are considered very low and reading above 2.75 are considered high. Readings over 3.0 can cause fishing to be difficult and dangerous. *Note these are estimations. ALWAYS use extreme caution and judgement while wading in any stream. Stream flows are estimated and Little River Outfitters does not guarantee accuracy.*"

Take care,
hawgdaddy
