refresh

I am constantly having to hit refresh to get any new posts and sometimes they show and sometimes they don't.....could there be something in my settings or are others having this issue.....it is at the point that I haven't been using the board as much because it is frustrating........

It may have something to do with the time I have set for automatic refreshing of new posts...I will look into it and see how it is set.

This sounds like a cache problem or maybe cookies. I had the same problem on the old board if I used Safari. It had to do with the settings. With Firefox I have no problems. The cache stores your old pages for quicker review but they are not updated. You can probably fix this in your Browser's Preferences. Just an idea.

The automatic refresh is set at one hour. This is a default setting in vbullentin. They do not recommend shortening that for boards with a lot of activity, as it becomes resource intensive.

I do get instant refreshes using my refresh button, so if you are using your refresh button and not getting new posts, it may be as Byron suggested and is a setting in your browser.

thanks for checking Paula.....I still have to refresh before I go into each thread so it mus be in my browser....I'll have to try and figure that out...
