I had to take my computer in for an enima ( $%@*!& virus ) and I lost my favorites which included the sites I saved for fly tying patterns and tutorials ... if you have a site you use, please let me know what the address is so I can rebuild my favorites....

And 1 other to consider and some of the most intricate flies are on http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?showtopic=23743 If you open the flytyingforum link you will open a page up to one of the most absolutely realistic flies I have ever come across....These guys are awesome and tie for competition.... there are plenty of other trout delicacies on the forum if you will look at the top of the page it will take you to the main site....and if your into rod building it's got some of the worlds best on there (bamboo, graphite, and glass) and there's even a link on both sites in relation to fishing.....Southeasternforum being slightly more informative to our dedicated region as the title indicates!!!! One of the best pattern archives are on the Southeastern site....and every month they have contest's on a specific pattern...i think the last being midges all are according to the season!!!! Have fun, and hope this helps!!! Fishermansfly! |

I'm a big fan of Charlie Craven's site as well. Here are a couple others you may find interesting. I'm not sure if you are looking for recipes or tutorial type sites? Anyway, here are a couple I use.
http://www.danica.com/flytier/index.html Great photography and flies by some of the best tiers in the world. http://www.theflybench.com/ http://www.ozarkangler.com/education/index.html look at the menu on the left for fly tying lesson. These come from Skip Morris' book Fly Tying Made Clear and Simple, one of the better basic tying books. http://www.ultimateflytying.com/ http://www.rackelhanen.se/eng/10018.htm not all trout flies, but still alot of useful info http://www.flyfishingconnection.com/.../fly_tying.php http://www.markov.baikal.ru/keep/pat/emerger/ http://www.flyflickers.com/ff/gomain...exflybox.shtml http://www.utahonthefly.com/flytying...idgecaddis.htm http://www.frontrangeanglers.com/flypatternindex.htm That should be enough to keep you busy for a coouple years ![]()

I second the recommendation for Flyanglersonline. That site is full of fly tying tips, tricks and suggestions and it has hundreds of different patterns. If you can't find what you are looking for ask for it in the bulletin board section and the folks on there will get you hooked up in no time at all. It is a great site.
