We stay in Townsend every Easter and this will be the first time I will fly fish there(just learned this pastyear). I normally fish the Caney Fork river near Carthage,Tn(East of Nashvegas). I also fish the Little Red River in Arkansas.
I will eventually need help finding a good spot for a novice(good casting skills) and my youngsters to fish(they can cast pretty well actually). We stay near the campgrounds near the fly shop. Thanks in advance! |

welcome to the board! I go to school at MTSU and fish the Caney a few times and really enjoying it when the wind isn't blowing. I mainly fish the Elk River since it is closer to home. Have you fished the White or Norfolk in AR, those are some great rivers?

tbryan I haven't fished any of the other rivers you mentioned. I want to take the kids to Norfork before they are too old(kids only can fish a section of it that is chock-full of trout)
