Default Hiwassee River

Went up early this morning . Took my time walking in and got in the river right before the last pulse went down.As the level started to bottom out around 1:00, the mayflies started to really pop off. The fish notced right off the bat. Had a fun time for the next thirty minutes. Thats all it lasted. As soon as the hatch tapered off a bit , the fish just shut down. Saw two hikers, one fisherman way down the river. Water temp was fifty three degrees in the middle of the day.
