Default Porter's Creek and . . . .

Will be in Townsend starting on Wed. - - any observations/suggestions on fishing Porter's Creek (e.g., quality of fishing, points of access, etc.)?

Also, we've been on the Gatlinburg Trail near the Sugarlands Center several times, and have fished the prong closer to the Center (with some luck), but have not seen many fishing the prong closer to G'burg - - is that because the fishing is poor or there are too many people 'making' the fishing poor?

Thanks - -

Default porter creek and g-burg

Access to Porter creek through Greenbriar entrance. Follow gravel road and stay right at the bridge going to ramsey cascade trail. The stream is tight fishing upstream but does hold brookies. Go by Sugarlands and get a map from Sam. Downstream of the park headquarters becomes G-burg water and requires another permit. If you want secluded fishing, I would bypass it and stay inside the park. This time of year it gets pounded by rock throwers and picture takers.

i might fish the little pigeon in greenbriar rather than porter creek. i've always done better there. maybe just a confidence thing, but i got a 14 inch bow there and another 12 inch one also.
I started with nothing, and I have most of it left.
