Default White River

I'm heading out tomorrow for Arkansas, fishing the White for a few days. Haven't been in years. Ready to go!

Now that just ain't right...I'm sitting here doing homework, finishing end of the year projects for my classes, and you're going to fish the White...and to top it all off, you have to rub it in...

Have a great trip! Looking forward to a report...

Default Good luck on "the slam"

Rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and brook! Say hello for me at North Fork Dam and Rim shoals.

Many tight lines,
Flat Fly'n

We'll be heading out May 5 for 5 days. We stay at the White Hole Resort near Flippin. Not much of a resort but good access for wading or floating.

Back from the White, real good trip, though they were generating around the clock on both the White and the Norfork. Only real option was to float, which we did, one day with Jimmy T and one day with Davy Wotton. Best fish of the trip was a 17 1/2" rainbow, another 16 1/2 and a couple in 14" range. Rest were mostly around 12". We caught 50 the day we were with Davy. Incidentally, he is a great guide and a very funny guy.

One cutt and one cutt-bow were caught, and a few browns.

Lot of didymo in the C&R section, so if you go, be sure to treat your boots before you get back in our local rivers -- don't want that crap in the Caney!

Default White & Norfork

Great report. I fished the Norfork a few years ago. The White was gen. every day we were there, so we only fished the Norfork. We were there in the fall and caught some big browns on streamers. I was catching a bunch of rainbows at the head of this pool and hollered for my buddy to come upstream. I gave him one of my flies like I was using and within 4-5 cast he caught this bruiser. It measured out I believe 19" and he received a master angler award from the Ark. fishery agency. I can't wait to go back again someday! I would like to see some fish in Sam's creek like this one day!

SB, I don't know for sure but I'd bet that didymo is already in the Caney.

Gary, nice avatar.
