Default New PB

OK John S. and Rusty F, I went fishing again this afternoon after work. You know I've been trying to sneak in a couple of extra hours during the week. Well it happened again, Another pretty good day and a new PB on the Smallies. Still trying to get that magical 20" smallie on the fly. This one measured 18.5". Guess I'll have to keep going! This one was on Top! I ended up with 6 more tonight and 1 very nice redbreast...........Troutman

Default 18.5" Smallie

Troutman,
That is some smallie! I have yet to catch one that size, I know that was a fight. Nice redbreast sunfish as well, I caught one just like that Sunday on a glass minnow of all things.
Need to get together one of these afternoons.
Tight lines,
John

Gotcha a couple more picts from tonight. I fished another section of the river that I've had luck at over the past few weeks, unfortunately there were three guys spinfishing close to where I wanted and I think they had waded through it before I arrived. I ended up with 5 more smallies to hand and 4 small redbreast. They are kind of like the"brookie" of warm water fishes with their bright coloration. I lost another very good fish that I believe was over 16", The knot didn't hold long enough to get it in the net. This smallie was the only one I took a photo of.........Troutman
