Default Hey Byron - Guides

Bryon,

I will be in the keys the first week of June. It is probably too late to schedule this year, but who do you recommend as guides?

I recommend Capt. Drew Delashmit. He's an old friend, UT Grad and he is an excellent guide. Paula and I have fished with him several times and wouldn't use anyone else in the Keys. Call him at 305-744-0073 or e-mail at tfalcatus@aol.com. Give him a call, he could have a cancellation. You never know.

Default Thanks Bryon

Bryon,

Thanks for the guide recommendation. He had an opening, and I think I am going to get to fish. I went down there a few years ago in May without getting a recommendation for a guide, and it was a disaster. I will share more details sometime, but let's just say I was stuck on a boat slinging frozen bait at sharks.

I hope you can work it out. Drew's parents live here in Maryville and are some of our best friends. We always spend Christmas Eve together. Drew flies up for the Holidays. When he was a student at UT he worked here in the shop. He has a beautiful Kevlar Dolphin Flats boat, only the finest equipment, he's on the Scott Fly Rod Pro Staff and he and a client won the Islamorada Bonefish Tournament last year. He is almost thirty years old and a fine young man. Have a great trip and tell him I said hello.

Smile Thanks

Bryon,

I am set up with Drew. Thanks again for the recommendation. I saw on the Scott web site where he won the tournament. I am really looking forward to it.

This is a little weird, but I am going to Montana in September and using a guide in Missoula that I have used before who is also named Drew. He is a great guide as well - with Grizzly Hackle.

Thanks again,

Don
