Default Serious River Rage - Clinch

Friend of mine told me today that his 21 y.o. son had someone shoot at him two days ago while fishing on the Clinch. He was upstream from what we call Riverbend area. He was fishing in the river off private land access from another friend. The shot came from above and landed about 25 feet from him. He thought it was from a high powered rifle("the kid has been around guns"..his dad said). He reported it to the landowner who said it had happened once before and was going to contact the authorities. I am not trying to be paranoid about this, but we need to take care of one another.

Be careful out there. Keep a cell phone with you.

Angry Shots above Riverbend

FlatFlyN -- I was fishing upstream of the riverbend couple of weekends ago. There were a few shots fired from a covered picnic area -- shortly thereafter, a Canadian came floating downstream belly up. I, too, have contacted the landowner. There is a very nice shoal near that area, but I'm gonna be fishing elsewhere from now on!!

Default Shoals?

Are you talking about that shoal with all the snakes on it?

Default Snake river

Pit vipers to be exact! Right next to the quick sand.

Default Any ideas who is rolling the hay

into the river in that area?

Those big rolls are not subject to getting up and going swimming on their own
