After reading Byron's question to Lefty about presidential salutations. I starting thinking about a question. If you had the chance to fish with 3 people living or dead, who would they be? And part 2. Where would you fish?
My three would probably be (in no particular order) ... Lee Wulff John Gierach Jimmy Carter Maybe fish some of the meadows of the Madison in Yellowstone. I'd think I'd just sit back and listen to the conversations. Dude |

I could be really crass and say,
1) Me 2) Myself 3) And I but that really doesn't answer the question. Fly fishing is a very solitary endeavor. My brother, who considers himself to be a very "outdoorsy" individual, gave up on fly fishing a couple years ago because "nobody fished together... everybody kinda spread out and went off on their own." Now I don't doubt that saltwater fly fishing is a bit of a group effort. You've got a guide up on a stand spotting fish and calling out directions for you, and a group effort to hook, chase and land your fish. But if we're talking mountain streams... it's just you. Maybe a better question would be: "Who would you best like to swap lies with?" Gerry Romer |
