TFO Healing Waters

I ordered the 5wt version of this from LRO. It's built on the TFO Pro platform. I'm super excited about getting a rod that helps wounded veterans. I'm trying to think of how to organize a fundraiser for this cause.

TFO is an amazing company! Not only do they do the healing waters rod, but they have a Casting For Recovery rod too. Casting For Recovery is an organization that provides fly fishing school/retreats for breast cancer survivors. For the CFR rod, Templefork donates $25 to the National CFR organization; for each CFR rod sold at LRO, we donate $50 to the Tennessee CFR organization.

Kevin, if you want to do something for the vets, count us in. We will donate the same amount as the CFR rod sales to whatever you plan.

My wife is a breast cancer survivor and I really support our troops, both at home and abroad. I would love to help with both of these causes. Paula, please let us know what we can do here locally. A fundraiser is a great idea! Any ideas?

I contacted the guy at PHW. They are working on something in Asheville right now, but when they are done we are going to look at some options here. The organization is growing very fast. I will ask for ideas at the next TU meeting...
