Default Leader Straightener...

I went fishing on Wednesday at a pond and noticed that my leader was remaining coiled. I got tired of tossing a mono-filament slinky into the water, so I went and purchased a leader straightener. I pulled the leader through about 3 times and it definitely straightened out considerably, but I was afraid to continue as not to weaken the leader.

Anyone have a recommendation or thoughts on how many times it should take to straighten a leader or how the straightener weakens it?

Thanks,
Joe
