The spawning season?

1. I am not sure if I should post here or on the "Tailwaters" section, but here it goes. The majority of the fishing I have done stretches as far up as Elkmont and as far down as the Abrams Camping area, and was wondering when the various species spawn and what effect it has on the fishing? Also, are there any fishing restriction during the spawn? Last, but not least, where do the fish spawn - I had to ask.

There used to be a closed season in the Park in "olden" times....from September 15 throught April 15.....what I had understood was that this pretty much was before the fall spawn and after the spring spawm...also this was before there were brown trout established in the park and now understand that the browns go crazy in late October
