Default Hazel Creek Dates
I am thinking the November 7th, 8th and 9th. Would like to get to Fontana Dock around 10:00 am.

Looks like so far we have eggum and Mtnmn2888 interested. And I got my dates straight! Must have been looking at September. Lets keep at it and see where this goes. Hope you all get out this weekend!

Default Hazel Creek November 9,10th, 11th.
Yes it will depend on life. I may have a makeup tournament for soccer (a U10 team that I coach) that weekend, or my son's birthday to make up (it is actually the 1st, but may be put off for the soccer tournament) Keeping my fingers crossed. 4-6 people is plenty to head up there with though, lets keep discussing it as tiime moves along. I sure hope we get some rain.

Default Which Stream am I thinking?
Eggum,
I am thinking Hazel. We can take the ferry across from Fontana dock to the mouth of Hazel. From there to Sawdust Pile campsite is about 3.5 to 4 miles. It is an old rail grade so not a rough trail at all. I am flexible though, if others have other ideas. I like Hazel, have camped up there 5 or 6 times, but it has been at least 5 years since my last visit.

I was at Bone valley this spring with the Lexington Bluegrass TU and had an absolute blast. Does Sawdust Pile have a campsite number?
