Still catching a few smallies on top, mainly the little guys. I did see some big boys today but couldn't get them to commit to anything I threw at them.
I fished with a 1970s Fenwick fiberglass 7wt and a vintage Martin fly reel on my Diamondglass 5wt. today. Great day to be out on the water, even for just a few hours. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hey Gary, Nice! I know you had a good weekend. I'm jealous but after last weekend you needed a few Smallies on top.

Waterborn, I caught a few on streamers as well (RF special), but as long as they will hit on top, I'll keep throwing em. I live in boyds creek area. Send me an email and maybe we can go another weekend soon.
Bran, Yes, it was a great 4 hours on the river. I took my kayak and paddled upstream about 3/4 of a mile and fished back. Hope to get in a few more days like this before the cold weather sets in and the smallies go deep. |
