I will be fishing abrams on friday and didnt really want to hike all the way to the shoe.........so any suggestions on where to fish without going all the way to the falls??

Hi RL,
Since you sound somewhat new to Abrams Creek and you don't want to go too far, try this short section. If you have a friend, take them with you for safety.
Hike down the Abrams Falls Trail about 1/4 mile and you will come to a hill,(Small mountain) that you can cross over in just a few minutes. When you get to the bottom on the other side, get into the water and fish back upstream until you come to the trail again. This won't be too long or too hard. You will find some good fish through the section I'm speaking of, and you will need to fish light leaders and probably use nymphs for the best results. Be stealthy and fish slow.
