Those size fish really put up a nice fight. That one I caught on a Winston 3wt and it almost had the rod bent all the down. I was stupid of me to use my 3wt. Normally I use either 5wt or 6wt. Wyatt |

Wyatt,
Is the place you noted in your first post on the north side of Atlanta? Maybe directions for someone coming from Chattanooga. Can one wade or must float? Thanks in advance. Elton |

Coming south on I75 take the Cumberland Parkway Exit. Then at the light turn left go down the hill to the BP station and just pass it on the right turn into the Park area. Do not cross the river bridge and this is only about 2 tens of mile. It cost 3.00 to park and you can walk straight into the water there or walk up the nice trail to the I75 bridge and fish back to the parking lot. This is all okay to wade but some people like to tube it or float boat back so they can completely get to all spots. I usually wade with no problems as long as they are not generating water. Here is a chart to use on water level. Anything under 4 is good. Over 5 and it is to dangers to wade but could float but be careful. http://ahps.srh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydro...ew=1,1,1,1,1,1 Hope this helps. Wyatt |

Wyatt,
Thanks for the directions and information on the water level and wading. Would you recommend drys, nymphs or streamers for this area? I will have to stop and wet a line the when I come to Atlanta. Will be sure to bring my 5wt. Good Fishing Elton |

I would use a nymphs and woollybuggers black. Some people use dry and I have sometimes but I always start with nymphs or woollybuggers. Wyatt PS here is one sat on a Black Woollybugger. ![]() |
