It actually works out great because I can still use the computer to search for and then use website tutorials right alongside my vise. That way I don't have to have open books and/or recipes cluttering up my workspace. So far I haven't spent a penny on furniture, but I've spent an untold fortune on material... big grin here... I built this with my dad when visiting Montana this past Christmas. Its not a table or desk but it holds most of my commonly used items and I can tie pretty much anywhere.

Here is a table I built in my dorm room when I should have been studying. Studying however wouldn't help me in fooling big browns on the soho.

Nice!!
Those were the days when you could cut wood and leave pieces of it laying around in the same room that you sleep in. I hope your roomies don't mind the mess. Looks good. You should try to get some 3/4" edge molding to put around the edge of the plywood so you don't get any slivers while tying.

yeah, you gotta love it. we've since cleaned up the mess and moved the table under my bed. you can see the home engineered loft for the bed in the lower left hand corner. the table isnt completely done yet. i plan on putting some molding around it, as well as staining or painting it. I just have to wait until I get a free day and can do it outside. Usually if I have a free day though I'm hitting a local tailwater.

yeah, we're both baseball players, so its understandable, his is probably laying on the floor behind the table there. you can notice the spitters lined around the room too. despite what this rooms shows in the picture, we keep a pretty neat room. its pretty cozy for a dorm room.

I might have one if I had "Oprah" money. I tie on a folding table that's 30" X 72" in my man cave up in a room over the garage. I keep all my stuff in tuppaware type plastic containers and a old chest of drawers with cedar drawers I bought at a yard sell for $15. I would rather spend the money on more tying material and terminal tackle.
