Notice that there are only two Hazel Creek camp sites indicated on this 1990 Appalachian Trail Conference map of GSMNP, Calhoun and Cascades. (see link below)

I don't think they are new, but i could be wrong. It really is a shame that for whatever reason those two campsites were closed. Ideally, one of those would be where we would stay on our upcoming trip but it looks like we'll have to stay a little further downstream and walk up to fish.
