This message board is really great. It has something to offer for nearly all fly anglers. However, there is no ROD BUILDING FORUM. I know there are several members on this board with rod building experience. I'm sure that a rod building forum would be a popular addition to this board.
Just a thought... |

Grousegunner,
This sounds like a good idea to me. Let's see who else is in favor of this before we make the change. Also, who would like to see a photography forum? Byron

I'm all for the photography forum; I need all the help I can get with my fish/outdoor pics, especially since I've forked over the $$$ for a real camera that can take those cool underwater pics.
BTW - the rain is headed your way...miserable day here. |

I think both ideas are great, although i lean a little more towards the photgraphy aspect just because i don't have any experience rod building. I would like to build a rod one day, but time is always the road block there. I fully back both ideas, however, and think that it would be a great addition to an already great message board. If it's not too much more work, then go for it, i'd love it!

A photography forum would be a great addition.
But as Craig said, "If it's not to much more work". |

Yeah, i know y'all already put alot of time and effort into not only the website, but your business as a whole. Don't want to be greedy and ask for too much!

Adding a forum is something Paula can do in a few minutes. What we don't want to do is have too many so people can't find the one's they want. I don't think we are at that point. Rod building is a very rewarding hobby that is fairly easy to do. I have built several. There is also a little photographer in most of us and discussing cameras and techniques would be appreciated by all including me. There is always a new point and shoot coming to market that is perfect for fishermen. So, please add your 2 cents and let's be sure our readers really want this. Don't worry about the work it takes to do it. That is not an issue. But I appreciate your concern.

I think the addition of both photography and rod building forums would be valuable to the members of this board. I've learned a great deal about fly fishing through the discussions on this site...and I continue to learn more every day. Just imagine what we could learn from each other about photography and rod building!
Also, these forums would provide an avenue to attract new members. Grousegunner |

I love the idea of a photography forum...also I don't build rods but hope to someday so I'm interested in learning from what others are doing/talking about...
