Default spring tying

Since I'm getting ready for my first spring with a fly rod in my hand, I need to get away from tying all my winter midges and black flies and focus on some quill gordons and blue quills.

I read Bryon's mini recipe on the report with stripped peacock and white thread for the body, but what are some other recipies you guys use? I'm not asking to streal anyones secret here, I'm sure I could go online and find tons of different ways to tie these flies, but I'm more curious to here what people personally like about their flies. In the smokies do you usually tie as a comparadun, or parachute, or traditional catskills, or what?

Excited about tying and fishing some larger dry flies for smaller fish,

Ben
