There are no stupid questions...just smart alek answers
Putting it simply, (AS my grandfather always said when on the way to the fishin hole), if the cow's ain't eatin'... the fish ain't bitin'. One time I even remember him turning around and takin us back home after passing pastures with layin down cows. I'm sure that many of the other folks here will chime in with some more SCIENTIMIFIC answers. Especially the guy that cooked it up! |

Unofficial auditing of cow standing factor (CSF) while on a recent FF trip to New Zealand strongly suggests that CSF is a reliable indicator of fishing success. We had to pass several large pastures en route to the river(s) and when the cows were up the trout were too.
I had wondered if the CSF effect would be reversed in the southern hemisphere.
