Default Asking a stupid question about the fishing report

I should know this as I grew up in the boonies and with my Mom growing up on a far, but, what is the Cow Standing Factor?

Talking and you call yourself a southerner

There are no stupid questions...just smart alek answers

Putting it simply, (AS my grandfather always said when on the way to the fishin hole), if the cow's ain't eatin'... the fish ain't bitin'. One time I even remember him turning around and takin us back home after passing pastures with layin down cows.

I'm sure that many of the other folks here will chime in with some more SCIENTIMIFIC answers. Especially the guy that cooked it up!

Default CSF in the southern hemisphere?

Unofficial auditing of cow standing factor (CSF) while on a recent FF trip to New Zealand strongly suggests that CSF is a reliable indicator of fishing success. We had to pass several large pastures en route to the river(s) and when the cows were up the trout were too.
I had wondered if the CSF effect would be reversed in the southern hemisphere.
